通过HD Tune测试看出，在平均读取和写入速度方面，2TB RE4企业级产品性能最高，西数2TB黑版硬盘则紧随其后。不过在最大突发读取写入速度测试中，2TB XT系列超过西数2TB黑版硬盘，紧随西数2TB RE4产品。该项目中，由于西数1TB绿版硬盘转速未能达到7200转，所以性能稍差。

● 应用性能测试：FastCopy
FastCopy是个小巧的文件/目录拷贝工具，其功能强大，性能优越，能充分挖掘文件系统和器的能力，并且支持计数和计时。这里使用两个目录来进行测试：第一个是包含12645个文件总计容量为4900MB的&Drivers&目录；第二个是包含2个文件总计容量为3620.9MB的&HDVideos&目录，分别考察文件硬盘应付大量小文件和大容量文件拷贝的能力。

在该项目测试中，我们发现西数2TB企业级RE4硬盘表现非常不错，无论是应对大量零散的文件还是单个大容量高清，传输速率非常快，用时也是最短。而2TB XT系列硬盘则表现欠佳，甚至在拷贝高清视频文件时还不如不足7200转的西数1TB绿版硬盘。

● PCMark Vantage测试
本次测试使用的是Futuremark正式发布的&PCMark Vantage&，而且这个新版本是专为Windows Vista 32/64-bit打造，不再支持Windows 2000/XP。测试项目包括使用Windows Defender、《Alan Wake》、图像导入、Windows Vista启动、编辑、媒体中心使用、Windows Media Player搜索和归类，以及以下程序的启动： Word 2007、Adobe Photoshop 2、Internet Explorer、 2007等共八个项目。

全文总结：通过测试看出，目前市面这四款64MB缓存的硬盘性能表现都非常不错，尤其是2TB企业版RE4硬盘和2TB黑版硬盘，无论是读取/写入速度还是时间文件拷贝能力均领先其它两款产品。相对于32MB缓存硬盘而言，64MB缓存确实带来了读写性能提高、延迟降低等优势，可以让游戏加载更快、系统启动更流畅等效果。
不过谈到硬盘的缓存，提升性能仅仅以一个方面，毕竟硬盘的缓存越大，就能存储更多经常需要的临时数据，这样在需要的时候就减少磁头在进行不必要的寻道读取，省时省力。而大容量缓存更大的优势就在于利用缓存还可以让硬盘减少频繁的读写，让硬盘更加安静，更加省电。尤其在读取数据的时候还有东西的时候，减少不必要的读写操作，延长硬盘的使用寿命。
