As described in the passage, Mr Zeng firmly kept his wife’s promise to his child, form which we learn that Mr. Zeng is worth depending on and good at educating children.

The fable presents a sentimental story to us in which an apple tree satisfied a boy’s wishes unconditionally. To the tree, nothing was more delightful than the boy’s company.
