游戏提供三个存档，游戏初期会有新手介绍，并且在每一关出现新的敌人种类都会有提示，告诉你敌军的特征。而这时你要根据提示做好准备。跟一般的塔防游戏不同，游戏中每关可以提供的防御塔建造地点是有限的，你要思考好你的防御策略，扼守要地。
