还记得一年前，名创优品刚刚进入加拿大市场时的雄心壮志，他们计划2018年底前，在加拿大开设100家门店，三年内，实现门店总数500家的目标。结果2018年的尾巴，名创优品并没有实现它的诺言，反而递交了破产申请。

据媒体报道，加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚省最高法院（Supreme Court of British Columbia）备案文件显示，名创优品在加拿大的运营公司已向法院提交申请，开启破产流程。而名创优品作出此决定，与其在加拿大的分公司Miniso Investments Inc.、Migu Investments Inc.和Miniso（Canada）Store Inc.涉嫌转移和隐藏资产等欺诈行为有关，其欠款金额超过了2000万美元。

其实名创优品在加拿大的开端是很好的。彼时，实体零售业正处于“寒冬”，加拿大零售巨头西尔斯破产关门，另一家Hudson's Bay百货连锁店也处于裁员、改组公司结构的状态。名创优品拥有高品质、低价格特点，以其性价比极高的产品切入市场，曾一度打破业态固有格局，让本土品牌均倍感威胁。但短短一年就面临破产，未免让人有些唏嘘。

对此，名创优品总部也作出了声明。对方表示，名创优品在加拿大采取的是代理经营模式，因当地代理商公司经营出现问题，所以名创优品总部对其提起破产申请。名创优品方面强调，在加拿大市场，名创优品是非常受欢迎的，市场经营良好，总部也会尽力去保证当地门店的正常经营。
