外媒：为何玩家对《上古世纪》那么没耐心？
【网易游戏频道独家内容，转载请注明出处】译/绵绵冰《》前些时间在北美已经开启了测试，关注度一度到达了欧美网游排行榜的前十。但最近外媒表示其情况有所改变，热度已经不如以前了，有专栏作者甚至专门为此撰文阐述此状况，或许我们可以从中窥得欧美上古热的真面貌。如今，有太多MMO游戏用尽所有办法只为吸引玩家的注意，要求玩家对其中某个保持耐心，听起来实在有些好笑。在这点上，我应该不是一个人，我认识的很多玩家似乎总是在找离开一个MMO游戏的理由，然后把它从要玩的游戏列表中划去，只因为他们只想要快点完成任务。MMO游戏市场早就已经严重过剩了。

玩家数量减少我不知道有多少人已经放弃了《上古世纪》，因为Trion的公关都开始不关心毫无意义的注册账号数量了。我可以肯定的是，很多人都走了，因为我在网上看到了太多“我不玩了”的帖子。哦还有，官方放开了越来越多的元素，很显然都是为了留住玩家。当然，我认为《上古世纪》在财政上的表现还是很好的，至少从Trion的角度看是这样。不过他们也没有公布，一切只是猜测。Trion好像把它们的大部分时间和资源都投入到现金商店去了，所以我猜他们特定的发行协议的完成度应该很不错。

从历史的角度看把赚钱放到一边，我们不能用评判《》、《》这些线性游戏的统一标准来评判《上古世纪》。这个游戏是不一样的。《上古世纪》的系统比那些游戏更加丰富，要让玩家通过这样复杂的系统互相之间产生影响，做平衡的工作量非常大。所以，指望开发商把所有问题在几个月内全部消除是不现实的。换句话说，沙盒式游戏比主题游戏更难制作。上一个像《上古世纪OL》这么有野心的3A级MMORPG是《星球大战：星系》，那款游戏是2003年6月面世的，如果你没有经历过，那么我在这里可以告诉你，这款科幻沙盒游戏最初的一年过得非常痛苦。我还记得2003年夏天，那个一直在掉线的服务器，那32个充满bug技能的职业，以及各种不能用或者没有用的招数。关于当时它的缺点，我还能说出很多，或者你只要听我下面这句话：我真的是《星球大战：星系》的超级粉丝，但是当时的那个游戏，它就是一团糟。但是后来，《星球大战：星系》存活了整整八年，被上百万的玩家认为是创造力的平台和美好回忆，直到现在，还有人在呼唤它的回归。为什么会发生这样的情况呢？有人说是因为《》的大名，但是作为粉丝我要说，原因只是玩家喜欢这个游戏，它强大到足够让玩家克服困难，坚持陪伴，与它一起进步。

沙盒游戏的难度我似乎已经看到你们中的一些人在摇头了，“不，你错了。时代变了，技术在进步。现在是2014年，一个专业的开发团队应该能将《上古世纪》这样元素丰富的游戏完好无损的发布。”虽然我承认，很多东西已经变了，但这只会让做一款MMO游戏，尤其是沙盒MMO游戏的难度变得更大。在2003年，《星球大战：星系》只是一个小众类别中的小众游戏。索尼在线娱乐之所以有足够的时间把游戏中的问题一一排除，最终创造出一个牛逼的沙盒式体验，是因为当时没有大量疯狂的玩家每天在冲击服务器，在Reddit论坛里嚎哭，或者不断的在后台代码中钻空子。另外，它也没有作为P游戏的沉重负担，这保证了，当时即使有玩家在怒刷服务器，那他们也是花了钱和精力的。不过有一点，2003年的《星球大战：星系》和2014年的《上古世纪OL》是一样的，那就是他们拥有共同的敌人：《网络创世纪（Ultima Online）》。尽管现在市面上的MMO游戏多到数不清，但它们中几乎没有哪个能花时间去呈现真正丰富的虚拟世界，而大多关注于碎片式的战斗。说到这里，我意识到自己对《上古世纪》过于不耐烦了，无论从常识还是历史的角度看，我都应该再给它一些时间和耐心。

现在说这些还太早？我知道《上古世纪》还有太多地方需要改进，他们的承诺总是不兑现，而且每次有Trion的高层出来说“它没有那么糟”时，我就又讨厌这个游戏多一点。但是，只花两个月的时间就判定这款大型游戏的死亡，还是有些愚蠢和让人难过。《上古世纪》这种设计规模的游戏，现在就被判出局还是太早了。我认为那些斩钉截铁的说这款游戏“失败”的玩家，还是更多的基于情绪，而不是经验和逻辑。这类永久的沙盒式游戏和虚拟世界是为有耐心的玩家，为那些能够停下来闻一闻玫瑰花香的人准备的。而那些不断从一个大作跳到另一个大作，浅尝辄止的“游戏跳虫”，你们注定和这样的游戏无缘。因为其免费增值的商业模式和3A级游戏的效应，《上古世纪》也吸引了不少“游戏跳虫”。万幸的是，现在，它头上“超级MMO大作”的标签已经撕去，我希望XL和Trion能够真正冷静下来，正视并且逐一改正游戏中的缺点和漏洞。注意了，我对这一点也不是很有信心，因为XL已经开始《文明帝国OL》的制作，而Trion只关心如何通过他们的现金商店榨取玩家的钱。不过我还是尽量抱有希望，希望上古世纪能够走得更久远一些。
