1(self)So I received not only a set of pajamas but a sleep mask, socks, bath salts, and body cream.
This was just way over the top for a minor gift exchange and I was blown away by my Santa's generosity.
However, something about the pajamas seemed... unfamiliar.
Hindsight being 20/20, I supposed I never explicitly stated that I'm a guy in the notes section, so I shouldn't be surprised that I received a set of women's pajamas, but you know what?
They're the most comfortable goddamned things I've ever worn, and I mean by a long shot!
The fit is perfect, the material is so light it may as well not even exist, the whole thing just puts my usual pajamas to shame.
Anyway, so as not to rehash the story, here's my .
I hope that when my Santa sees it they'll understand that my utter delight is equal parts appreciation for the quality and amount of effort that was put into this gift as well as imagining their shock when confronted with the photo of a strapping young lad lounging in Deadpool pose wearing those glorious pajamas.
And just to be clear, these pajamas will be getting frequent use on these sweltering Texas nights.
Don't be sorry man! It's not your fault at all dude. Glad to hear they've found the bug causing it.

My kids a rock star. She did great and was hardly bothered by it. I survived the waiting game and then took them toy shopping because retail therapy calms my nerves lol.
I actually joined Reddit last November so I could participate in Secret Santa. It sounded like a really fun thing to do so I decided to sign up,
and I am really glad I did! The first gift I sent off was a bunch camera accessories for a giftee that really likes their GoPro. It was nice to see them really happy in the thank you post, and I hope they were able to put the gift to good use! :D I really liked how I could make someone happy with gift exchanges, so I've just been signing up for a whole bunch of exchanges since...I think I have caught the RedditGifts bug :P
As for my favourite memory, it easily has to be this:
Receiving that made my partner and I so happy, and they absolutely love using it. I still think of this when I'm feeling down to remember there are supportive people out there and how kind a complete stranger can be sometimes. :)
I actually only joined Reddit for RedditGifts! My favourite memory of RedditGifts is one that happens every year. I get my mom, dad, and sister to join every year and our RG gifts are the first ones we open on Christmas morning.
I went a little overboard on my first giftee. I decided that I wanted to mail everything to myself first, all of which came from multiple online stores with different shipping costs, and then mail them together in a cute package. Overall, I think I spent 100$ just to make it looks pretty. She didn't post pictures, but I had fun.
Another memory is the , where I told the story of my little cousin who was going through a bone marrow transplant. After I outlined my reasons for giving the gift, intended for my mother, to my aunt, my Santa went above and beyond and made my mom cry by sending a second present just for her. My cousin has since passed, and his mother did too just a few months ago, but at the time, it really helped things seem like they were looking up.
I also had a lot of fun sending a gift in the 100th Exchange, even though my Giftee marked it as received from the Book exchange that year.
everything themed as 100 based on her interests in a package that I tried to make look like a care package.
I can’t decide. There are so many good ones.
I love condiments. Especially sauces.
I love snacks. I especially love dairy free snacks.
I love Linda Belcher.
I love wholesome memes.
I put tons of decorations and crap on my desk.
My favorite condiment is Cholula hot sauce, but I got gold last time around, so skip me.
Favorite condiment (to be spilled all over my pajamas) is basil pesto, preferably over crispy French fries. I'll be bitching like Dorothy Szbornak from The Golden Girls and eating a cheesecake while I shop online for the next round of giftees.
I've signed up for:
Vegan snacks. I'm not vegan or even vegetarian but I'm learning to replace more and more animal product meals and snacks with veg alternatives, so I'm excited to try something new. I also have a few favourites already to send to my giftee.
Pyjamas. I've lost weight so most of my nice warm winter pyjamas are too big, so this could be exciting!
Simple pleasures. I work (when I was working, hopefully again soon ?) in stressful roles so I love little things to help me relax at the end of a hard day.
Condiments. We are onion and garlic free though (I can eat some, boyfriend can't have any) so I hope this doesn't make things too hard on my santa!
Wholesome memes. Because fun.
Favorite condiment: hot sauce! I love spicy stuff, and there's such a wide variety of hot sauce to try!

Just signed up for 400 this time. Made a 400th gift exchange cross stitch last week and now that I've been matched will find some suitable gifts to include, along with 400 pieces of candy.
My favorite April Fool's prank was removing the marshmallows from someone's box of Lucky Charms. They had one bowl of cereal before they noticed no marshmallows, then dumped the box out, and was ready to call the toll free number before I started laughing.
I've ordered for 2 of my 3 matches (not shipped, waiting to get shipping info so I can post as shipped) and am scouring the interwebs for the 3rd.
That 400 match is a doozy.
A few years ago, we were on a Cub Scout camping trip for my son the weekend after 4/1.
I had these fake spiders from Halloween.
Soft, floppy, pretty realistic for fakes.
I left these all over the place.
In the toilet paper roll in the bathrooms.
On the serving tables at mealtime.
Using a flashlight, projected a big one on top of the cubmaster's tent, while the wife (big spider phobia) in her jacket pocket (that she left hanging on a chair near the cook area).

It was all fun and games, until one of the kids saw a &fake spider& on a log and poked at it with a stick...and it burst into many many many baby spiders and a big mama spider.
Oh, that poor kid...I think I may have given him a phobia to rival the cubmaster's wife!
I'm so hype for this round because I signed up for a bunch and it's my first time using elves :) I think I'll get done fairly quickly this time.
Also my favorite April fools prank was the one where you put tape over the hose thing on the kitchen sink so that it sprays out. My mom has been falling for it for the past 8 years.?
I'm so excited! My giftee this time around has a lot of information in their exchange preferences and a good amount of info in their user profile as well. If I could choose someone as the &ideal giftee profile,& it would be them. It seems we have a few things in common, too! I am looking forward to choosing and sending out their gifts.

18(self)My husband and I don’t exchange gifts, and neither do either of our families (among adults, that is). But I enjoy gift shopping! Reddit Gifts is an opportunity to indulge in a bit of searching for things I think a giftee would enjoy, and being a rematcher is more of the same.
Okay, it also feels a touch heroic. “Your original Santa couldn’t come through? Hang on, I’m coming to the rescue!”
So, urge to shop + ego = rematcher. :) What reasons do others have to sign up?

The secretome denotes the collection of secreted proteins exported outside of the cell. The functional roles of secreted proteins include the maintenance and remodelling of the extracellular matrix as well as signalling between host and non-host cells. These features make secretomes rich reservoirs of biomarkers for disease classification and host–pathogen interaction studies. Common biomarkers are extracellular proteins secreted via classical pathways that can be predicted from sequence by annotating the presence or absence of N-terminal signal peptides. Several heterogeneous command line tools and web-interfaces exist to identify individual motifs, signal sequences and domains that are either characteristic or strictly excluded from secreted proteins. However, a single flexible secretome-prediction workflow that combines all analytic steps is still missing.
