在十五年前的CES，乐高发布了机器人发明套件，那个系统成为了初始的Mindstroms。始于彼时，Dlyer加工出了无数机器——“让机器人来做任何事情，从冲马桶到解决魔方”，目的是比人类更快。今天，这家丹麦公司发布了一条新的产品线：Mindstorms EV3；它拥有594块积木，并将得到APP支持。同期发布的一个传感器套装能使你的机器人拥有导航与全自动反应功能。
EV3神秘的核心是一个智能的砖块，新的系统装载有Linux 系统和一个ARM9处理器，这套搭配令核心运算速度加快，并使破解更加简便。除开处理器，蓝牙的加入也是一个亮点，玩家们可以用手中Android或者iOS设备内的APP去控制你们的机器人。
另一方面，EV3会更加的‘敏感’，机器人的眼睛会是货真价实的红外线传感器，可引导系统进行攻击，遁走，舞蹈；总之无论你想干嘛都成。你可以做成一个蛇的模型，或者像图中所示，弄一个蝎子出来，四处追缴它的猎物。
那么它的反应能力呢？乐高花费了不少时间去加速EV3的马达。它拥有两个主马达，提供双重输出，所以它能够同时操纵两个大附件。另外一个小的附加马达用来操作小的任务，比如发射弹药，或者轻弹手指。本文译自
